Designing your college application
In a recent interview with The Explorer, Matthew Kandel, the founder of Newcastle Tutors, outlined some key aspects of the college application process. To begin, it is essential to tailor your essay and application to each respective college, keeping in mind the school’s likely perspective. The goal is to paint yourself in the best light possible, highlighting your strengths and achievements throughout the application.
No grammatical or spelling errors whatsoever! Proof read. Ask your parents, tutor, peers, and guidance counselor for assistance, especially in order to ensure your words make sense to someone other than yourself. Be open to and evaluate criticism (this is a key point that cannot be understated).
