College Math Tutor, Economics Tutor, Engineering Tutor – When no one else can, Newcastle will…
As we mentioned last week, midterms are on their way. Chances are, you’re probably feeling a little overwhelmed. It’s understandable, considering the semester just started two months ago, and you have 4-5 course midterms to review in a matter of weeks. Hopefully, you’ve already gotten a jump on your exam reviews, but if you haven’t, and are starting to panic, here are a few stress management tips from your favorite college tutors.
Use Lists: when you know you have a barrage of deadlines but aren’t sure where to begin, sit down, take a deep breath and make list. Include everything that needs to get done on the list, from doing laundry to meeting with your college tutors, and you’ll be amazed at how organized and accomplished you feel. The stress will soon subside.
Exercise regularly: You don’t have to go to the gym for hours and lift weights, or run 5 miles. Just do something low intensity, like yoga, swimming or just go for a long walk. Walking away from your studies, clearing your head, and getting some exercise will do wonders for your stress levels.
Develop optimism: Studies have shown that optimists are healthier, less stressed and more successful overall than pessimists. So practice positive thinking, and as the self-fulfilling prophecy goes, positive things will happen to you.
